MARTHA E. “Jean” CLAYTON (nee Beckham) of Midlothian, Texas and longtime resident of High Ridge, Missouri was born August 26, 1933 in Spanish Lake, Missouri to William and Helen (nee Schmitt) Beckham and died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield, Texas at the age of 79 years 5 months and 14 days.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Beckham, her husband of fifty-two (52) years, Marshall Clayton (Married April 15, 1949 and Died December 25, 2001), two (2) sons, Richard Earl Clayton (Died February 6, 1998) and Marshall Clayton, Jr. and her brother, Robert Beckham.

She is survived by six (6) children, Carol (husband, Mike) Moore of Orange, Texas, Marsha Clayton of Midlothian, Texas, Terry (wife, Pattie) Clayton of Arnold, Missouri, Roger (wife, Laurie) Clayton of Union, Missouri, Dean (wife, Paulette) Clayton of St. Ann, Missouri and Kevin (wife, Sherry) Clayton of House Springs, Missouri, sixteen (16) grandchildren, James, Nina, Theresa, Davee, Kristin, Amber, Jenna, Tara, Holly, Tony, Garret, Elizabeth, Samantha, Brian, Michael and Mandy, eighteen (18) great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, Rachel, Isabelle, Tyler, Matthew, Stephen, Elijah, Isaac, Blake, Macie, Kyle, Karsyn, Bailey, Thatcher, Olivia, GG and Adela plus one (1) great-grandson on the way, Malaki, along with lots of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Clayton was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. and again on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. followed by Services on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016 followed by Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
